Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how the AmsterTram (“we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on amstertram.nl and booking.amstertram.nl.

Cookies and similar identifiers are stored or read on your device. One first-party preference cookie shares your choice between amstertram.nl and booking.amstertram.nl.

Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary – AmsterTram consent preference (amstertram_consent, 180 days), Cloudflare security/delivery cookies, and WordPress/WooCommerce cart, session and checkout cookies on the booking shop. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics (optional) – Google Tag Manager delivers Google Analytics 4 after analytics consent. Google receives online identifiers, device/browser information, visited pages and interactions so we can measure and improve both sites. GA cookies such as _ga can last up to two years; GA4 event data is retained for 14 months.
  • Advertising (optional and separate) – Google Ads conversion tags measure whether an advertisement leads to a booking. Advertising consent controls ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization together, including Google advertising identifiers and conversion data. Google Ads cookies such as _gcl_au can last up to 90 days. We do not use Meta/Facebook pixels.

Cookie duration

The consent preference lasts 180 days. WooCommerce session/cart cookies normally last for the session or up to two days; GA cookies can last up to two years, GA4 event data 14 months, and Google Ads cookies up to 90 days. Security cookies may be session-based.

How to manage cookies

Use the always-visible “Cookie preferences” control on either site to change or withdraw analytics or advertising consent. The shared choice applies to amstertram.nl and booking.amstertram.nl. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser.
